Lots to Celebrate…

With tomorrow being the 4th of July, obviously we have reason to celebrate. Happy Independence Day, America! We hope you get to enjoy great weather, food, family time and fireworks!
We, here at the Wine Merchant, have even more to celebrate! This past Monday, we debuted our new wine list at Uncorked. We have kept some of the favorites but added a lot of lesser known, but just as tasty, varietals. Come down and try something new. Consider it, expanding your wine horizons!
We are also looking forward to celebrating Christmas in July on Saturday, July 13 from 3-10pm. We will have Great Lakes Christmas Ale, Shiner Cheer and Fat Heads Pimp my Sleigh on tap. We will also have food and other beverage specials (including a bottle pour of Rogue’s Santa’s Private Reserve) throughout the night. Cozy up on the patio with some soft Christmas carols playing in the background and let visions of sugar plums dance in your head… or just have a beer and beat the heat! Either way, we will be here with our jingle bells on!

A six pack, with infinite possibilities is just $7.99.

This week’s beer tasting is a tribute to the Fourth of July and summer drinks. We will taste 3 distinctly American Ale’s with 3 distinctly different flavors and a refreshing Austrian grapefruit beer!
As always, for the complete list, please click here.
Dan’s Pick This week Dan has 2 great summer wines for you. The first is Don Ramon, a red blend from Spain. This blend of 75% Grenache, 25% Tempranillo is a wine that we used to always carry but somehow it dropped off our radar. We’ve brought this wine back in for the summer because it pairs so well with barbeque! Pick up a bottle for your next BBQ- at $7.99 you can get a few bottles!
The second pick is Maison Legrand’s Gros Manseng from Cotes de Gascogne. This is a little known French varietal, but as Dan said, “It’s a tasty little wine at a great price!” The producers describe it as a fresh, zesty, fruity, refreshing and dry white wine. Come get your bottle for just $9.99!
Final thoughts Happy 4th of July & Merry Christmas in July! We look forward to celebrating these and many other occasions with you!
Cheers!
