The beginning of Lent has begun!

Hours of Operation

Monday – Saturday

10am to 6pm

Calendar 🗓

March 17 (Friday) - St. Patricks Day - We’ll be serving up Paddy Poutine all day long on this celebratory Friday! Irish Fries, Cheese Curds, and Corned Beef covered with our (soon to be) famous Irish Whiskey Gravy…

March 25 (Saturday) - Lamb-O-Rama! It’s our annual event, no reservation required. Seasoned, Smoked, and Grilled Lamb served up with all the sides!

Store News 🏬

February events are all gone, and March holds a couple, as you can see. This past weekend, we began our new menu offerings, and I think most who came in were pleased. Pizzas are back on the menu for Fridays and Saturdays, and we’ll continue with those for a while before we plan any new Saturday events. On the horizon, we’d like to get back to some of our reservation-required quarterly tastings — somehow these have been overlooked. Keep an eye out, you never know what’s coming next. Hope to see you soon…

Wine News🍷

With the weather going back and forth, who knows what to drink? My answer is simple: lots! Be it red, white, or rosé, we can get through this crazy seasonal transition. One day we’re enjoying the sun, and the next day we’re bundling up and trying to stay warm. That’s why my best suggestion is simply to drink that which you enjoy. We’ve got the goods to keep you happy, so stop in and pick up something that you’ll enjoy.

Dan’s Feature ⭐️

Clos Pegase 2019 Mitsuko’s Vineyard Merlot is my feature for this week. Their 2019 Merlot is "a beautiful deep purple in the glass. The nose is expressive with ripe red fruits and a touch of dried fennel. On the palate, the wine’s medium-bodied tannins complement the crisp acidity and savory undertones as big red fruit flavors dance across the palate. The wine has a strong, smooth finish with more red fruit and plum notes and a subtle hint of crushed graphite.” This wine is being sold on Clos Pegase web site for $45.00, and we’re very happy to be selling it for $27.99! This is a big, beautiful Merlot that will definitely over-deliver, so stop in and pick up a few to have on hand.

Dan's Pick 🥂

My pick for this week is Ridge 2021 Grenache Blanc, this great little white is comprised of 77% Grenache Blanc, 15% Roussanne, 8% Picpoul making it… well, delicious! Winemakers notes describe as coming from “limestone soils, coupled with a warm climate, create ideal growing conditions for this wine. After whole cluster pressing, each varietal was fermented separately. Roussanne was included to enhance mouthfeel. Picpoul brings lively acidity and focus to the restrained stone fruit, mineral palate. This refreshing wine can be enjoyed immediately upon release and will gain complexity over the next four to five years.” While not inexpensive at $39.99 a bottle, it’s a great alternative to your regular chosen whites. If you're looking for something to pair beautifully with an appetizer, salad, or a Lenten seafood special, this one would be a hit!

Food Feature 🐟 (Lenten Specials)

We’re bringing in extra seafood for Lent, and this week we’re featuring fresh Halibut! This is always a favorite and will be ready for you starting today. The freshest Alaskan Halibut you can get, $26.99 a pound is still a pretty good price for such fantastic cut of fish, and we’re excited to kick off the Lenten season with this special. We’ll make sure we have plenty of Salmon, Shrimp, Scallops, Chilean Sea Bass, Ahi Tuna, and more on hand as well. Keep an eye out here for some great ideas for all your Lenten meals.

Oyster News 🦪

The freshest Oysters we could get in again for this week are Acadian Pearls from the PEI. These are the perfect size for half shell, Rockefeller, and NOLA Oysters. We also brought in fresh Fortune Oysters. The latter are the ones we encourage you to try with a little squeeze of lime. Either way, any way you want them, they are the freshest oysters in town. If you like Oysters, then you need to stop in!

Final Thoughts 💬

Stop in and say farewell to Jaime. She stepped in to help during the holidays, and we managed to keep her a little longer. She became a favorite of both ours and yours, and we would prefer that she stay, but we all wish her well on her moving out West. It’s hard to believe that March is nearly upon us. Sure, February is the shortest month of the year, but this year, it went very, very fast!
